NOTES:
-          Maybe starting the month off with Tegan & Sara and KoRn albums was a bad sign
-          Damn the Fuck-Ups wail
-          “Depression” by Life Of Agony is the most (hopefully intentionally) hilarious song I heard all month
-          The Big Boys are vastly underrated
-          Sodom is such a hit-and-miss band…
-          That Bach really helped calm me down during some very bad news…
-          Xibalba is fucking HEAVY
-          There are some grooves on that Secret Machines album that are like still stuck in my head
-          Needless to say, Sleeping Giant talks about Jesus way too much for my liking
-          I did not know that Childish Gambino was Donald Glover until halfway through the album when I looked up his Wikipedia page
-          After listening to Big Sean I just had to listen to some real hip hop to cleanse my ears
-          There is a reason Dog’s Eye View was a one-hit wonder. Because they’re boring and they suck.
-          I saw EMA at Acrobatics Everyday when she was still with Gowns but the other guy in the band was such an artsy douche I didn’t really like them
-          My little brother got me the new BTBAM CD for Xmas, it’s still more of the same but its better than “Great Misdirect” was
-          I Spy was fucking dope
-          From the name, I thought Snuffaluffagus was gonna be another shitty garage punk band, but no they’re like indie-folk and really good
-          Yeah, the Black Keys are awesome, but all their albums sound just the same

Also this month I saw the bands Fiar, the Coltranes, and 13% perform live. My band The Gravitys also played our 5th show with those bands on the 9th.

NOTES:
-          Meat Loaf is actually pretty dope
-          Burzum sucks and so does ABBA
-          The albums I listened to from Mary J. Blige and Whitney Houston this month have GOT to be their respective worsts. I certainly hope so.
-          I need more music like Marc Ribot in my life
-          There is a reason Puff Daddy only made the one album. Because it sucks.
-          MAGNETOPHONE
-          Polaris really did a lot for me
-          I’ve had “Will Rap For Food” on CD for years and I always thought it was by a solo rapper named Cunninglingus….I’m dumb
-          I didn’t think “Lulu” was too bad at all…a little weird, but not the worst thing ever like Metallica fans would have you believe
-          R.I.P. Heavy D
-          11/11/11 oooohhh spooky
-          Death’s “Symbolic” album will always be one of my favorite metal recordings
-          The Ramones’ “Leave Home” album will always be one of my favorite music recordings. That’s why I listened to it twice this month.
-          Bon Iver and The Weeknd are both dope but vastly overrated by the music press right now
-          Saigon has some criminology up in his rhymes
-          This new PJ Harvey album is probably my favorite of hers
-          R.I.P. Corey Smoot aka Flattus Maximus, lead guitarist for GWAR
-          OF COURSE Fucked Up’s new album is my favorite of 2011
-          The new Thursday album is really good, but I don’t think anyone knows it came out
-          The new Florence and the Machine album is pretty good but no fun anthems like the first album
-          The new Blink 182 album is good but you can really hear the Angels and Airwaves/+44 semi-electro thing in there
-          I don’t what song I heard when the new Protest The Hero album came out that turned me off, but “Scurrilous” is really good.
-          Nick 13 from Tiger Army made a country album. And it’s really fucking good.
-          The European radio-metal band Coma isn’t nearly as cool as the Japanese noise-core band Coma
-          Goatwhore is by far one of the best modern-day metal bands
-          New Coltranes EP out January21!
-          I really missed that Agression album.

Th
ThThis is the first month in a very long time where I did not go to any concerts/shows/etc.
